COMPILATIONS AND NIGHT OF THE PROMS
In March 2006 Virgin released a new 3-CD compilation, The Platinum Collection, with the classic themes of Oldfield, and wherein said first digital edition of the extended versions of their hits from the 80s.
In December 2006, after nearly seven years of absence from the stage, Mike Oldfield participated in the tour Nokia Nights of the Proms by various German cities, along with artists such as OMD, John Miles, etc. In addition also appeared in March 2007 in the Spanish cities of Madrid and Valencia as the central figure of the first celebration of Night of the Proms in Spain.
